Why a Current TDS Is the Best Starting Point
A technical data sheet helps identify the exact producer, complete grade, test methods and key material properties currently used by the buyer. It gives a more reliable basis for screening a potential PE resin source than a short description such as “film grade,” “pipe grade” or “MFI 1.”
Jiuting Polymers uses the buyer’s current TDS together with the finished application and processing information. We do not claim direct equivalence from one or two numbers, and we do not change the producer or grade name in the document.
What You Can Send
- The complete producer TDS in PDF format
- The exact producer and full grade name
- A current or sample COA
- A clear photograph of the bag label
- Your internal material specification
- A photograph or description of the finished product
- Processing-line and qualification information
A complete PDF is preferred. Clear JPG or PNG files can also be used when the original PDF is unavailable. Please send all pages and make sure the producer, grade and test conditions remain readable.
What Information Must Remain Visible?
- Producer name
- Complete grade designation
- Polymer type and intended application
- MFI or MFR value, temperature and test load
- Density and test method
- Mechanical, optical, thermal or pipe-performance properties relevant to the application
- Additive, color or compliance information
The test condition matters. An MFI value measured under a different temperature or load cannot be compared directly. Density values and mechanical properties should also be compared using equivalent test bases where possible.
Commercial Information You May Hide
You may cover your current purchase price, supplier salesperson, contract number, purchase-order number and other confidential commercial terms. We do not need those details to begin a technical review. However, hiding the producer, full grade, test conditions or critical specification can make a meaningful comparison impossible.
Application Information to Include
Film and Packaging
State the film type, number of layers, thickness, blend, line type, seal requirement, optical target and important dart, tear, puncture or shrink performance.
Blow Molding
State the container volume, target weight, filled product, line information, ESCR, drop, stacking and compliance requirements.
Pipe
State the material class, applicable standard, compound color, SDR or pressure class, project approval and required producer documentation.
Other Processes
Provide the molding or extrusion process, finished part, operating conditions and tests that the material must pass.
What Happens After You Send the TDS?
- We confirm that the document identifies an exact producer and grade.
- We review which values are basic screening items and which are application-critical.
- We ask for missing process, finished-product, quantity and destination information.
- We check whether relevant China-origin producer and grade options are available for review.
- We coordinate the corresponding documents for any selected option.
- You complete your own document approval, sample test and production qualification.
TDS, COA and MSDS Are Different Documents
A TDS describes typical technical properties for a grade. A COA reports values for a sample or actual production batch. An MSDS or SDS addresses safety, handling and regulatory information. One document cannot replace the others, and each document must correspond to the correct producer and grade.
