Source HDPE Blow Molding Resin for the Actual Container
HDPE blow molding resin should be selected around the container, production line and filled product. A grade that runs well for a small household bottle may not provide the same parison control, environmental stress-crack resistance or stacking performance required for a chemical jerrycan or industrial drum.
Jiuting Polymers is a China-based polymer supply and export coordination company in Dalian. We compare available China-origin materials against the buyer’s current grade, producer TDS, container design and qualification requirements. We do not present a generic HDPE grade as a confirmed substitute before the customer completes its own technical review and production test.
Typical Blow Molding Applications
- Household and personal-care bottles
- Detergent, lubricant and chemical containers
- Jerrycans and stackable industrial packaging
- Open-top and tight-head drums
- Technical hollow parts and custom containers
What Must Be Checked Before Grade Matching?
Melt Flow and Parison Control
MFI or MFR must be reviewed together with its test condition. The required melt strength and swell behavior depend on the extrusion head, die design, parison programming, container size, output target and recycled-content policy. A similar numerical melt-flow value alone does not confirm equivalent processing.
Density, Stiffness and Container Weight
Density and molecular structure affect rigidity, wall distribution and the balance between container weight and performance. Buyers should state the nominal container volume, target net weight, wall-thickness distribution and stacking requirement.
ESCR and Filled Product
Environmental stress-crack resistance is especially important for detergents, chemicals and other aggressive contents. The filled product, test method, service temperature, closure system and required storage period should be disclosed before a material is shortlisted.
Impact, Drop and Stacking Tests
Container qualification may include drop performance, low-temperature impact, top-load or stacking tests and transport simulation. Please provide the applicable internal or customer standard rather than only saying that “high impact” is required.
Additives, Color and Compliance
Confirm whether the resin is natural, pre-colored or used with masterbatch, and whether food-contact, chemical-packaging or other destination-market documentation is required. Additive packages differ by producer and grade and must be checked from current documentation.
Information Needed for a Useful Quotation
- Current producer and complete grade, or the current TDS
- Container type, volume, target weight and filled product
- Extrusion blow molding line and head configuration
- MFI or MFR value with test temperature and load
- Density, ESCR, impact, drop and stacking requirements
- Color, additive, recycled-content and compliance requirements
- Monthly or annual quantity
- Destination port and preferred FOB, CFR or CIF term
How Jiuting Polymers Handles the Sourcing Review
- We review the current grade, TDS and application information.
- We identify which properties are critical to processing and final-container approval.
- We check relevant China-origin producer and grade options available at the time of inquiry.
- We coordinate available TDS, COA and MSDS records for the selected material.
- The buyer evaluates the documents and completes its own sample, trial and qualification process.
Standard packing is 25 kg bags or agreed packing. Export coordination is normally arranged in 20-foot full containers from Dalian Port under FOB, CFR or CIF terms. Final availability, loading quantity, documents and commercial terms are confirmed for the specific grade and shipment.
Send Your Current HDPE Grade or TDS
Email the current producer, complete grade or TDS, container application, key test requirements, quantity and destination port to sales@jiutingpolymers.com. We will first confirm whether a technically relevant sourcing review is possible.
